Complete refund and cancellation policy for Untamed Shopify theme licenses and services

Critical: Please Read Before Requesting a Refund

⚠️ UNDERSTANDING YOUR PURCHASE

Before requesting a refund, please ensure you understand exactly what you purchased:

  • Theme License Purchase: If you purchased a theme license, you have purchased the theme files only — a structural framework consisting of Liquid templates, CSS, JavaScript, and configuration files. This is the complete product as advertised.
  • Service Package Purchase: Setup, design, customization, and content creation services are separate products that must be explicitly selected as add-ons during checkout or engaged through written agreement.
  • No Implied Services: Purchasing a theme license does NOT include any setup, design, or customization services. You must set up the theme yourself or purchase Done-For-You separately.

1. Digital Product Policy

The Untamed Shopify Theme is a digital product delivered instantly upon successful payment via license key and download access. Due to the nature of digital products:

  • Once you receive your license key, the product is considered delivered
  • Once you download the theme files, the product is considered used
  • Digital products cannot be “returned” as they remain in your possession after delivery
  • The irreversible nature of digital delivery limits refund eligibility

Delivery Confirmation: Email receipts containing license keys and download instructions serve as proof of successful product delivery. License key issuance constitutes complete fulfillment of the theme license purchase.

2. What the Theme Includes (And What It Does Not)

The Untamed Theme License Includes:

  • Complete theme codebase (Liquid templates, CSS stylesheets, JavaScript files)
  • All sections, blocks, and customization options as demonstrated in our previews
  • Theme configuration schema and settings
  • SVG icons and essential UI assets built into the theme
  • Installation documentation
  • Standard email support for technical issues

The Theme License Does NOT Include:

  • Demo images, product photos, or lifestyle photography shown in previews
  • Sample content, product descriptions, or marketing copy
  • Setup or installation services (theme installation on your store)
  • Design customization services (colors, fonts, layout adjustments)
  • Content creation services (writing, image sourcing, product uploads)
  • A “complete” or “ready-to-use” website — you must add your own content
  • Ongoing maintenance beyond what’s specified in your license tier

Industry Standard: This is how all Shopify themes are sold — whether on the official Shopify Theme Store, ThemeForest, or any other marketplace. Themes are structural frameworks that store owners populate with their own brand content.

3. Situations Eligible for Refund

You may be eligible for a refund only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Payment processed but license not delivered: If payment was successful but you did not receive your license key within 48 hours despite contacting support
  • Duplicate payment: If you accidentally made multiple payments for the same license on the same store within a short time frame (verified through our records)
  • Corrupted or non-functional theme files: If the theme files are technically corrupted or non-functional and we cannot provide a working version within 7 days of your report
  • Material misrepresentation: If a specific feature explicitly advertised on our website and demo is completely absent from the theme files (not to be confused with demo content, which is never included)

Refund Window: All refund claims must be submitted within 14 days of purchase. Claims submitted after 14 days will not be considered regardless of circumstances.

4. Situations NOT Eligible for Refund – Theme Licenses

Refunds will NOT be provided in any of the following situations:

Product Understanding Issues:

  • Claiming the theme is “incomplete” because it doesn’t include demo images or content
  • Claiming the theme is “just an outline” or “not a complete website” — this is the expected behavior
  • Not understanding that Shopify themes require setup and content population by the store owner
  • Expecting a ready-to-sell store without adding your own products, images, and content
  • Purchasing a theme license expecting setup services to be included

Change of Mind / Buyer’s Remorse:

  • Change of mind after receiving the license key or downloading the theme
  • Deciding the theme doesn’t match your vision after purchase
  • Change in business requirements, design preferences, or business plans
  • Finding an alternative theme or solution you prefer

Technical Knowledge / Skill Issues:

  • Inability to install, configure, or customize the theme yourself
  • Lack of technical knowledge to use Shopify’s theme customizer
  • Not knowing how to upload products, images, or configure sections
  • Difficulty following installation documentation

Third-Party & External Issues:

  • Compatibility issues with third-party Shopify apps not developed by us
  • Custom code modifications that don’t work as expected
  • Issues caused by your hosting, domain, or Shopify account configuration
  • Conflicts with other themes, apps, or custom code on your store

Service Expectations:

  • Expecting setup, design, or customization services that were not purchased
  • Demanding that we “complete” your store when no service package was purchased
  • Claiming lack of “after-sales service” when no service engagement exists
  • Requesting work beyond what is included in standard technical support

Clear Disclosure:Our website, demo store, product descriptions, and Terms & Conditions clearly state that the theme is a structural framework without demo content, and that services are separate purchases. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge reading and accepting these terms.

5. Refund Policy – Done-For-You Services

If you have engaged Done-For-You as an add-on or through written agreement, the following refund terms apply:

Before Work Commences:

  • If you cancel before any work has begun, you may be eligible for a refund minus a 20% administrative fee.
  • “Work commenced” is defined as initial consultation completed, assets received and reviewed, or any design/development work started.
  • Cancellation must be requested in writing via email to support@buyuntamed.com.

After Work Commences:

  • No refunds will be provided once work has commenced on your project.
  • You will receive deliverables for any work completed up to the point of cancellation.
  • Partial work does not entitle you to a partial refund.

Project Abandonment:

  • If you become unresponsive or fail to provide required assets/information for more than 30 consecutive days, the project is considered abandoned.
  • Abandoned projects are not eligible for any refund.
  • Reactivating an abandoned project may require additional fees.

Important: If you did not select a service add-on at checkout and did not engage services through written communication with our team, you have NOT purchased any services. Purchasing theme licenses alone does not create any service entitlement.

6. License Cancellation & Refunds

Lifetime License:

  • The Lifetime license is a one-time ₹11,999 purchase. It is non-refundable once the license key has been delivered.
  • There is no auto-renewal and no recurring charges — you pay once and own the theme forever.
  • The Lifetime license includes one year of updates; thereafter you keep using the current version forever.

7. Refund Request Process

To request a refund (only if you believe you qualify under Section 3 above):

  1. Email Support: Send an email to support@buyuntamed.comwith subject line “Refund Request - [Your Order ID]”.
  2. Required Information:
    • Order ID / Transaction ID
    • Email address used for purchase
    • Date of purchase
    • Specific reason for refund (must align with eligible reasons in Section 3)
    • Screenshots or evidence supporting your claim (if applicable)
  3. Review Period: We will review your request within 3-5 business days.
  4. Decision: You will receive an email with our decision and explanation.
  5. Processing: If approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

Note: Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. Each request is evaluated against our policy. Repeated requests for the same order after a decision has been made will not be reconsidered unless new qualifying information is provided.

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider.

Our Commitment:

  • We respond to all support inquiries within 24-48 hours.
  • We work with our payment processor (Razorpay) to resolve legitimate issues.
  • We maintain detailed records of all transactions, deliveries, and communications.

Consequences of Fraudulent Chargebacks:

  • Filing a chargeback after receiving and using the product (license key delivered, theme downloaded, or theme installed on store) constitutes fraud.
  • We contest all illegitimate chargebacks with full documentation including delivery confirmation, license key records, download logs, and communication history.
  • Customers who file fraudulent chargebacks will be permanently banned from all future purchases.
  • We reserve the right to pursue legal action for fraudulent chargebacks, including recovery of the product value, chargeback fees, and legal costs.

Fair Warning:Claiming you “didn’t receive what you paid for” when you received a license key and theme files as described is not a valid basis for chargeback.
